Kathleen Scheide
Kathleen Scheide has concertized as an organ and early keyboard soloist throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, Russia, and the Far East. She often plays orchestral continuo and chamber music. Dr. Scheide is Music Director/Organist at Church of the Loving Shepherd, West Chester, Pennsylvania, where chamber music and guest musicians are regularly heard in Sunday services. She also teaches piano for Rowan College at Burlington County. In previous positions she oversaw the restoration of four historic organs and taught from coast to coast. Dr. Scheide’s compositions are published by Darcey Press, E.C. Schirmer, Lorenz, Piano Press, Wayne Leupold/Time Warner and World Library. Her recordings are available on Dutch HLM, Palatine, OHS and Raven labels. Her degrees are in early music and organ performance from New England Conservatory (with honors) and the University of Southern California (organ department prize). As a volunteer, she is a Past Dean of the San Diego Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, current Sub-Dean of the Philadelphia Chapter, and a busy advocate for sighthound dog rescue.
